The Chester Zoo in one of the ducks in Africa succeeded for the first time.
She said that the successful education of four shuttle duck chicks formed part of the increasing efforts to protect the most threatening species in Africa.
McCokua population in the wild is about 5,000, and recent surveys found only 14 in Kenya and less than 100 in Tanzania.
Duck chicks are located in the Chesster Zoo’s Africa, and it is a 22.5 -acre habitat that supports African -endowed African species. Habitos are home to 57 species of animals, including giraffes, brutal and oups.
“These butterflies of ducks are very distinctive because they are the first of its kind that hatch here in the zoo, making it a really historic moment for our team,” said Andrew Owen, chief of birds in the Chester Zoo.
“This success gives a real boost to the future of species and these new vital additives will contribute to the retinal population of safety in zoos. These birds face a rapid decrease in the wild, so not every hatching is truly counted.”
The zoo is only one of seven in Europe, and 12 worldwide, which is interested in duck and hopes to play a vital role in their survival.
MacCoa ducks are found in wetlands and lakes rich in fresh fresh water. It can be seen as it dives for food and is known for its harsh bills and deep blue bills.
It is listed as threatened with extinction in the International Federation of save From the red IUCN list of threatened species. Water pollution and climate change resulted in decomposition of their habitats and low types.
Bird conservation specialists in the zoo says that successful bubbles will help protect the long term.
