Britons urged to join hunt for rare daffodil breeds amid extinction fears | Plants

The British were asked to search for rare pink, white and “yellow fire” in order to provide endangered varieties.

The Royal Gardening Association (RHS), which runs the number of land narcissus, hopes to build a map of the spring flower. People are asked to register the place where narcissus blooms in their area with basic information such as color, type and height.

It is hoped that the data will help RHS scientists understand the environmental effects on the factory, as well as detect rare varieties at risk of loss forever.

There are three varieties of land narcissus in particular, the factory association asked the public to search for it. These include Mrs Ro Backhouse, which was one of the first pink narcissus to be raised, in 1923, with a trumpet of steel coral pink and ivory flowers. It is known that it is in the national groups, but its place behind it is a mystery.

Scientists are also trying to find Mrs. William Kopling-Narcissus, a double flowering white, who was not for sale in recent years but it was known to have been granted to a direct descendant of the UK breeder by American farms in the early 2000s.

The charity is also looking for Sussex Bonfire- Double Yellow and Orange Double Flower has not been seen since 1998.

“Narcissus in the spring is abundant, but rare varieties of our gardens and roads can be lost if they are not found and are interested in them. Although six national plant groups protect some of them, only Many other groups are not protected yet, which is why we encourage everyone to search for rare varieties this spring.

It is hoped that finding these unusual flowers helps help them remain and allow scientists to preserve their genetic materials, which may be valuable for future narcissus education. It is important to have various types of flowers with climate change and some are more flexible in the harsh weather than others.

All information and images of Dafodils should be presented as the items mentioned above via the RHS website. Although everywhere throughout the UK and the Spring brand, Narges originated in the Iberian Peninsula and North Africa. I originally grown for medical use, but by the sixteenth century, they began to notice because of their joyful flowers and grew for aesthetic purposes. There was the prosperity of British narcissus in Britain in the nineteenth century and their hybridization of enthusiasts to create the shapes and colors of Nardel a new garden. Now, the UK grows 90 % of narcissus in the world.

Dr. Kálmán Könyves, the main world of the vegetable diversity team in RHS, said: “The wild narcue came to celebrate the arrival of the spring and celebrate them because of their welcome in gardens, parks and roads. But there is something more than this yellow flower everywhere more than the eye sees, With 31000 known types available in green, pink and red.
