Mitra plays Polly Stevens, a colleague of Kinnaman’s real-life CIA analyst John Nixon (Kinnaman), whose book of the same name inspired the series. The show marks a return to TNT for the actress after two seasons as Dr. Rachel Scott on the action drama The last ship.
Delving into the interrogation of deposed Iraqi President Saddam Hussein in 2003, Questioning the president Explores a CIA analyst’s tireless search for the truth, the complexities of justice on the world stage, and the deeply personal relationships between father and son woven into a turbulent period of history. Nixon Kinnaman was the first American official to positively identify and interrogate Saddam Hussein after his capture. Scheduled to premiere in 2025, the show marks TNT’s first scripted series greenlit since the Warner Bros.-Discovery merger in 2022. It is directed by Krzysztof Skoneczny and executive produced by Aleksander Rudnyanski, Kinnaman, Stuart Manashel, and Michael Kubicek , Peter Gerowe, and Shelley Browning. And Leslie Greif.
