“Selena Y Los Dinos”, the latest documentary on The Life Of Tejano Music Icon Selena Quintanilla, obtained by Netflix. The movie is currently scheduled to start in winter 2025.
The film, directed by Isabelle Castro, includes original VHS shots taken by Selena’s older sister, Suzy, and is interspersed with current interviews with family and friends.
Netflix announced its acquisition on Tuesday press release.
“Through the personal archive and intimate interviews with her family, the film reveals new dimensions of her journey that has not been seen before,” Castro participated in the version. “I am very grateful to her family for their confidence and support throughout this trip, and I cannot wait for a world audience to experience magic, heart and society that Selena presented to us all.”
Susse also participated in her enthusiasm over the scope of partnership with Netflix in Tuesday’s announcement, saying: “Famous for a platform that helps to bring Selena’s story to fans all over the world.”
