27 Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) has unveiled the selection of the Golden Goblet Awards, with 49 films competing in five categories.
The release of this year put new records, as the competition departments obtained more than 2800 requests from 119 countries and regions, which represents noticeable increases in the entries of the Americas and Africa. SMS for films alone increased by 18 % on an annual basis.
The main competition features 12 titles that extend to various regions. The festival lasts from June 13 to 22, followed by the Shanghai TV Festival from June 23 to June 27.
