South Carolina coach Dawn Staley: We deserve to be the No. 1 overall seed

South Carolina Coach Down Stallie said that her team deserves to be the total 1 seed in the NCAA championship 64-45 Hort No. 1 Texas In Sunday starring game.
Gamecocks (3-30), who won the National Championship last season, entered the SEC championship fifth in the country and It is expected to be a seed number 2.
But after suffocating three opponents in the league by 18, 21 and 19 points, it appears that the number 1 is now a lock.
However, Stallie believes that her team has got more.
“When you win this championship and play the schedule we play, I think we are the first seed,” said Stallie. “We have made our schedule to put ourselves in this position. Therefore, I hope the committee will not completely deduct our CV. There is no person in the country that played the schedule we played, which had a share of the normal season title, won this tournament and beat the first team in the country … no one.”
She said that the CV of 2024-25 from GameCocks- which includes 12 wins against the 25 best teams, including two against Texas-should be counted for something. South Carolina is 7-3 against the 10 best teams, with its three losses against No. 1 Texas, No. 3 Connecticut and No. 4 UCLA.
The Gamecocks’ table of the regular season included 13 games against teams in the best 25 years in the time of the game-more than any other team in the rank.
Stallie said that she was “shocked” to know that her team is ranked No. 2 to the tournament.
“If you get a lot of credit to overcome us, however we had some of the most difficult fungi in the country and came out of it safely, you cannot deduct that,” said Stallie. “You cannot discredit it. I will talk about it because you should hear the sound of the other side. Because if you don’t think our body is worth it, you need to speak it.”
“I will go to the fight for what our team got.”
