WASHINGTON (Reuters) -The Blue Origin of Jeff Bezos said on Monday that it is targeting “late spring” for its second launch of the New Glenn Rochet mission, as the US Federal Aviation Administration closed the investigation of the failure of the landing landing that followed a successful mission in January.

New Glenn Rocket was launched in two phases for the first time in January after years of delay in development and successfully placing a satellite in orbit. After that, the supportive of the reusable missile in the first stage failed to try to land on a ship in the Atlantic, which led to an investigation into the FAA.

The Blue Asset said in a statement on Monday that the failure of the landing “due to the failure to redefine our three be-4 engines”, without providing more technical details.

The company said its report on the investigation of the landing failure “specified seven corrective measures, focusing on the management of fuel motivations and the improvement of engine bleeding monitoring, which we are already treating.”

“We expect to return to the journey in late spring and we will try to drop in the supporter again,” the origin said.

A statement on Monday from the Federal Aviation Administration, which supervises safety matters in the United States, confirmed the closure of its review of the technical investigation of Blue Orige, saying: “FAA will verify that the blue origin is implementing corrective procedures before launching the new Glenn-2 mission.”

The new New Glenn from Blue Origen was the first step of the company in the Earth’s orbit, a pivotal moment for Bezos space ambitions while trying to compete with Elon Musk’s Spacex on multiple fronts – from satellite launch operations to the moon’s landing to the profitable Pentagon contracts for secret military space operations.

Weeks after the first New Glenn launch, Dave LIMP, CEO of Blue Origen, was 10 percent of the 14,000 employees of the company in a step to reduce costs and transfer the New Glenn UNit concentration on missile production and a quick launch rhythm.
