Sunshine Kids Connects Childhood Cancer Survivors

Before a modern trip to Bever Kreik, Colorado, Zoe Dorias, 13, did not ski. But the survivor of cancer is used to pay through discomfort.

“It is all about ascending and landing in life, and this is what Zoe accomplishes and we are ski together,” said Chloe Wasserstrom, Bver Creek skiing teacher.

Durias and Wasserstrom associated with the ski vacation it hosted Sunlight childrenIt is a non -profit organization that regulates annual trips for children who survived cancer or fighting cancer. It was diagnosed in 2022, Dorias was a milestone in Colorado-was cancer-free for three years.

“I thought that after treatment, everything would return to normal,” Derias said. “It never happened, but I think I am happy with it. If it returns to normal, I will not meet all these wonderful people.”

According to American Childhood Cancer Organization1 out of 285 children in the United States is diagnosed with cancer before it is 20 years old. Sunshine Kids links thousands of children with cancer, such as Durias, who suffer from isolation, unity and unity anxiety.

“These links will help them while moving forward to fight their illness and realize that they should not fight alone,” said Jennifer Wesler, Executive Director of Sunshine Kids.
