The Athletic’s women’s college basketball All-America team

(Correction: A previous version of this article included an incorrect matter in our All-Mamerica teams. Paige Buickers is a member of the first All-Mamerica team in America, and Ta’niya Latson is a second choice in America.)
With the normal season in the back vision, AthleteA team of dedicated writers and shareholders gathered to assess everything they have seen since November and made some difficult decisions about the best in an impressive year of hoops. Some pre -season predictions were achieved because four members throughout America were also on the team’s first team at the end of the season.
But a big surprise did not see coming? Two beginners who were fixed forces in their teams and played their way to the second team in a very deep year in the women’s total collars.
The Committee-Chantel Gennings, Sabrina Mirchant, Ben Beckman, Zina Keita and Mark Shendler-ranked each of the 10 best players, and the total statistics were statistics to determine the prizes at the end of this season.
(Statistics as of March 2)
The first team
Juju Watkins, USC
Sophomore suite
Statistics: 24.4 PPG, 6.7 RPG, 3.6 APG, 2.1 SPG, 2.0 BPG
The fact that the race for the national player this year was not resolved before the last day of the season, and this is finally – on the last day – the option has become unanimously, and many say about the student’s ability to rise to the largest moments of the year. She gave her 30 points, five passes, theft, two and three blocs in the regular Big Ten Championship match against the University of California, Los Angeles, eventually on the last edge of Lauren Pits.
Watercins showed what we saw from her throughout the season. A scorer mentality. Defense playmaker. A sharp awareness of the extent that her team needs on the ground (after taking her third mistake in the first parts of the second quarter, she did not make mistakes again during the rest of the match). Last season, as a new student, Wattkins proved herself as the best player in the first year in America. This season, you can remove any qualification. It was the best player. Full stop.

Lauren Bates, Ucla
Junior Center
Statistics: 19.7 PPG, 9.9 RPG, 2.7 APG, 2.8 BPG
The average number of players of the Authority Conference in the past decade has reached 19 points, nine counterattacks, 2.5 plus more than a full season: Naphesa collery, Powerial Powers, and Nia Coffey … and now Betts. It is not a bad company to keep it. In its second year with the University of California in Los Angeles, Pits was the main reason behind maintaining the first rank in the ranking of the majority of the season, and its dominance in the paint is also the best shot of Berwin on a national title. The elite edge protector, the defensive magnet that creates a larger space and freedom for its teammates and one of the best offensive bounces in the country – Betts have proven daily at the University of California in Los Angeles.
Hana Hidalgo, Notre Dame
Second year goalkeeper
Statistics: 24.2 PPG, 5.3 RPG, 3.6 SPG
A few players, if any, can overcome like hidalgo. It is a 3 -point improved shooter for the second year in a row, the opponents light on the attack and their disruption on the defense. It is the first at the national level in the shares of defensive victory and tops the ACC in winning shares for the second time in two seasons. Its production is an integral part of everything that the Irish achieves, and the great reason in Notre Dame will definitely be a seed of the two best for the second year in a row. Hidalgo may play both America alongside it in Olivia Miles as well as choosing WNBA competitions from the first round of the first round 2025 (Sonia Citron), but HIDALGO is also a power for itself. She is smart enough to take out the best in her teammates, but she is skilled enough to take on games when he calls the situation.
Paige Bokerz, Ocun
A big guard in the fifth year
Statistics: 18.6 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 4.9 APG, 2 SPG
After its final match for the normal season (most likely) at Gampel Pavilion, Bueckers was recovered in Huskies’s honor episode and added to the impressive UNCONN list of national players for this year (honoring its first season), which represents the party close to the wonderful college profession. She adds another honor to all America to its CV. Halmark Boker-Penha was in scoring-showing this season as it ranked among the top 20 players at the national level at points for each match (1.17), but she was also the only player in the country in the main hoops to a better average of assistance to 3.5 this season.
Madison Booker, Texas
Sophomore suite
Statistics: 16.0 PPG, 6.5 RPG, 2.9 APG, 1.6 SPG
Only one of the best classes in modern memory with the second year students improved, where Wattakkins and Heidalgo re -carried them for 2024 in America and joined them in the first team of this year. Now on its normal site on the wing with the return of the point goalkeeper Rorre Harmon, Booker was a more efficient scorer and influential defender in its second season. It is the number 1 option for the SEC Champions, on the right track to capture the second conference player of the year. Booker has also been encouraged to attack offensive glass without many of the responsibilities of the game industry, and it follows that the long length is ranked second in the country at the second opportunity points.
The second team
Aneesah Morrow, LSU
Senior attacker
Statistics: 17.8 PPG, 14.1 RPG, 2.6 SPG
The dual queen got at least 10 points and 10 rebounds in 26 out of 30 games this season and leading the country in an offensive rebound and total councils. Although he was minimal as a striker, Moro has stood up as four in the Supreme Education Council and even played a large quantity of the Tigers Center thanks to its engine and its speed. It is nineteen of thefts at the national level, nourishing the defense of the 10 best players in LSU and the start of the tigers that go through a transition.
Ta’niya Latson, Florida State
Young guardian
Statistics: 26.0 PPG, 4.8 APG, 4.6 RPG
Lazon is one of the most attacking players in the country. NCAA led the scoring, becoming only one of the two players who have multiple offers against the opponents of at least 20 points and seven decisive passes. Although he is 5 feet and 8, Laton is not afraid to attack the basket. It draws 6.4 errors for each game, which leads the nation. Latson is the engine in the high state of Florida, and its greatness has been shown throughout the season. Just last week against Notre Dame, Lazon played the best in any America in the game, where he finished 23 points, nine decisive passes and five counterattacks in Semenoles’ Succed Road. The winner of the match against North Carolina in late January is one of the most prominent events in this season.
Olivia Miles, Notre Dame
Great goalkeeper
Statistics: 16.5 PPG, 6.1 RPG, 6.0 APG, 41.3 3 3PT FG %
It could have been said that Miles was the best passion in the country before the ACL was tearing, who is able to manipulate the defense in half of the court and to move with brute force and taste. The elite of a jump group added to the arsenal of its attack this season, as it reached 41.3 percent of 3S while it is still connected by 70 percent of its attempts in the banned area. You may be the most complete offensive goalkeeper in the first section with the liberation and the narration of success and registration, and it leads one of the most destructive crimes heading to the NCAA Championship.
Sarah Strong, Ocun
A student forward
Statistics: 16.1 PPG, 8.0 RPG, 3.4 APG, 2.3 SPG, 1.5 BPG
Since 2009, the only player to have a season of 15 points, eight, and three tools, as a strong new student. It was one of the players to start every game for Huskies this season, and its ability to influence each aspect of the game made it an important part of the Uconn success this year. The attacker was 6-2, noticeably prepared in great moments, and has proven to be multifaceted as a fixed top scorer, with a average of 9.4 points in the game in the paint while filming by 37 percent of the bow beyond.
Michaella Blake, Vanderbilt
Student goalkeeper
Statistics: 23.1 PPG, 3.1 APG, 45.7 FG %
It did not take a full season until Blakes reached Nashville and changed the Commodores path. From her first match in college, she proved that she is a difference maker by scoring 23 points in only 25 minutes. From there, Blakes routinely proved to be one of the most dynamic players in the country. The High Point of Blakes’ season (so far) was a 55 -point trip against Oporne in which I ever set the NCAA game records. The performance was also the second 50 pieces of this season, with 53 against Florida on January 30. Blakes has become the first student in NCAA and the fourth NCAA Division I since 1999-2000 to score many games ranging from 50 points in the same season. SEC has led in Win offensive shares, which is especially impressive, given the depth of the conference.
