S.On his way to working at North Chicago High School, Spearo Paulus made a series of pictures of people on this train station seat. On the way to visit his partner on Sunday afternoon, he saw these young people. The largest training camp for the American Navy is about an hour away; The home of the only shoe camp in power, 20,000 sailors, marine infantry, soldiers and civil defense civilians.

Paulus believes that these men have been declared on the weekend to visit the city. He says they were looking at their phones and preparing backpacks when he took this shot. When one stood up to stretch, Paulus took her picture.

“My high school students come from a relatively distinctive background and tend to go to college immediately after graduation,” says Paulus. “From this perspective, I feel a little contradictory when I see the marine recruits on the line. I am happy if I give them the military life they chose a better chance than they may have in their cities, but at the same time, I wonder about the challenges that may lie in their very close future.”
