Thunder, Hornets swap future second-round picks in Monday night trade.
In the last days before the deadline for the American Professional League, there will be many smaller deals, or small moves that bring a team down the tax line or move a deep seat player, but there is nothing that most fans notice.
This trade may be all the smallest.
Charlotte dominated Denver’s selection in the second round of Denver and traded to Oklahoma City in choosing the second round of 2029 in Phoenix (which is controlled by thunder). To clarify: OKC is now controlling the selection of Denver in the second round of Denver, and Charlotte now controls the selection of Phoenix in the second round of 2029.
Oklahoma City continues to control five options in the second round 2029: those that belong to Atlanta, Boston, Houston and Miami. If this is not enough, Thunder now controls four options in the second round of 2030: in addition to nuggets, missiles and heat options.
It is not clear whether this trade has been created another trade.
