Vows to Shield Women’s Sports from Trans Athlete Surge – Twitchy

Kirsti Kovantry, the new president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), tackled the subject of transgender athletes who compete in women’s sports at its first official press conference since he took over Thursday, and said that there is “tremendous support” by members of the Wilayat Olympic Committee to protect the female group.

“But we need to do this with a scientific approach and include international federations who have already done a lot of work in this field.”

The new president added that there is “unanimous support” to reach an agreement on how to amend policy, and suggested that the International Olympic Committee may be inspired by the policy of global athletics, which restricts biological males to compete in women’s sports if these males have passed the male hope.
