Five teams confirmed that young drivers will slide into the cockpit for the first training session on Friday, as the teams are looking to comply with the requirements that four training sessions will be presented to young drivers during the season. Williams, Mercedes and Aston Martin confirmed on Tuesday that they would run Luke Braneng, Faridrik Festi and Felipe Denyuvich, respectively, in FP1. Each of them previously participated in the practice sessions of these teams.
Two other teams – Haas and Ferrari – confirmed that young drivers will participate in FP1 on Friday. Dino Beginovic will appear for the first time Ferrari while Ryō Hirakawa will lead Haas.
