In sitting with Newsnation Danny Bowman, the star of “Love on the Spectrum”, said that Kennedy is “completely false” by saying that people with autism “will never pay taxes, will never carry a job, and will never play the baseball game, and they will never write a poem, and they will never go at a date.”
“People with autism have the same hopes, dreams and yes, the same moments of embarrassing dating like anyone else,” said Bowman. “Circular and saying that none of us can work, date, or contribute to society, is completely wrong. I have a job. I pay taxes. I am dated. I have a master’s degree.”
“The desire to treat autism means that our way of being wrong is not. We do not need to reform. We need to support it. But the answer does not contain autism, it builds a world that is more comprehensive for all of us.”

Jones said: “I am older, I am enough to remember a time when society has no comprehensive autism or similar forms of nervous diversity,” Jones said. “So, I am very upset, very frustrated to hear someone who offers comments this nature.”
Jones added that attending special education programs was “very useful” when he was young, and that they “helped me grow and develop to the person I am today.”
