eMosque color Donald Trump’s appointment as chief of staff involves at least one conflict of interest. A typical example of waste, which would be near the top of any breaker’s hit list, is the Space Launch System (SLS), a rocket designed to carry a 95-ton payload into orbit to support America’s plan to return astronauts to the moon. Adjusted for inflation, it has so far cost more than $30 billion — and has only been launched once. Moreover, it has a clear and much cheaper commercial competitor in the form of an ATV, a vehicle with greater capacity which, unlike SLS-It can be reused. Starship is developed by SpaceX. But, as the world knows, the president of Spacex is Mr. Musk.
