Recently, I noticed that Google sends me traffic accident reports that appear at the bottom Google Maps While I lead. These notifications originally began on Waze (now owned by Google), and aims to warn you when there is a policeman hiding forward or a car stopped in the middle of the highway.

I live in Los Angeles, and this city is known for its traffic congestion, so of course, accident alerts begin to appear every few minutes in Google Maps as soon as I jump on the highway. Another parked car? Another police car? Another accident?
These reports are distracted, more than actual accidents, especially when they constantly appear in Google Maps.
Every time I receive a report on the accident, my eyes give up my phone, but this is not the end. I must also close the notification, otherwise it remains stuck on my phone, and prevents ETA, speed and other useful buttons for something like 30 seconds.

Alerts are also the sources of crowds, so they are created by other users, and they are not always true. Also, by the time when something was warned in the middle of the road, the cars that I had already seen anyway, and then the alert was not useful for me. I can see all the brake lights by looking forward – a place where I should look at anyway – so I don’t need fixed reminder on my phone as well.
I am a simple person. I want directions where I am going, and the time you will take there. That’s it.
You believed these notifications made of the crowd is optional, but no. Currently, there is no way to disable these annoying notifications from appearing in Google Maps, so I feed on these alerts that I do not want-constantly.
So what is the repair of annoying Google maps alerts?
The only thing that you can really do is to use another transfer application, such as Apple Maps, which can also display similar alerts, but not interventional. Instead, they appear as icons on the map that you can choose to interact with. Obviously, you want to get away from Waze, as these accident reports have arisen, so you will see the exact same alerts when using the application.
There is also the option to display Google Maps on your dissatisfaction with any existing features – in this case, and send the product notes clearly stating that you want to turn off these accident reports.
You can give Google your email if you want to get more information or future updates, but this is not necessary.

Google, if you read this (I know you will do), I do not ask you to get rid of these notifications completely. It is clear that it is useful for many people. i know that. I asked my mother about them and she loves them. Good for her, but she is still not useful to me, and I am sure I am not the only one.
Just give me the option to stop it. please?
