VA will deploy Oracle Health EHR to nine additional sites

The agency announced that the US Old Warriors Affairs is now planning to launch the federal health records system to 13 medical facilities next year.

Why do it matter

By following a market -based approach to the additional site options, the Ministry of Affairs of the Veterans Affairs said it could increase the number of simultaneous publishing operations.
The biggest direction
Sema Verma, Oracle Health and Oracle Life Sciences, Vice President, told legislators last month that the company is in the process of deporting Oracle Health EHR to the cloud.
This step can help enable the section Expand the number of simultaneous publishing operationsShe promised, according to her testimony on February 19.
She said, “The Oracle Cloud infrastructure has been built with its basis for expansion and security.” “The transfer of the Federal Pocket to OCI is ongoing.”
Verma said that the first stage will be completed that year and the company expects the full deportation of the EHR to the cloud that will be completed next year.
“Oracle adhered to make this step to OCI at our expense.”
Meanwhile, the Government Accountability Office has issued a new report on a new project that added three new recommendations for estimating cost, scheduling and system scales, making its total recommendations to improve EHR from VA to 18.
The government accounting office said that the Ministry of Old Warriors Affairs had implemented one recommendation since 2020.
“We have multiple recommendations that VA still must implement to improve [EHR] system.”
Although the Ministry of Old Warriors Affairs boasted more than 200 days without interruption when the program was restarted in December, Oracle Health EHR has seen a widespread interruption On March 5th in all six medical centers in VA, 26 community clinics and the remote -running VA sites.

But we will listen to our doctors, nurses and sellers partners all the way to ensure the safety of patients, quality and customer service.”
